PM Shehbaz & Gen Asim Munir attend funeral of martyred rangers & police heroes. The funeral prayers for the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty during the ongoing protests were offered today at Chaklala Garrison, Rawalpindi.
The martyrs—Naik Muhammad Ramzan (47 years old, from District Karak), Sepoy Gulfam Khan (29 years old, from District Rawalpindi), and Sepoy Shah Nawaz (33 years old, from District Sibi)—were honored in a solemn ceremony attended by prominent officials and military leaders.
Among those present at the funeral were PM Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister, Interior Minister, Minister of Information, and General Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff. Senior serving military and civilian officials also paid their respects to the fallen heroes.
Speaking at the occasion, Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif condemned the violence and unrest that led to the deaths of these brave personnel, stating, “Pakistan cannot afford any chaos and bloodshed for achieving vested political purposes. These acts of violence are unacceptable and highly condemnable, and they are pushing the limits of restraint by our Law Enforcement Agencies.”
The Prime Minister further expressed the nation’s gratitude, saying, “The entire nation stands in solidarity with the families of the martyred Rangers soldiers and all those police officials who have embraced martyrdom, as well as those who are injured during these riots. Their sacrifices will not be forgotten.”
Following the funeral, the bodies of the martyrs were taken to their respective hometowns, where they will be laid to rest with full military honors, in recognition of their service to the nation.
