PMDC stops admissions in MBBS & BDS programs: Here’s why. The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has stopped admissions to MBBS and BDS programs as per the orders issued by the Sindh and Islamabad High Courts.
The council has issued instructions to all medical and dental colleges in this regard, stating that admissions will be started after the final decision of the courts on the matter.
The development comes after several petitions were filed in the High Courts over the alleged paper leak and extra-syllabus questions in the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2024.

It all started when MDCAT was mired in controversy in Sindh, with a Joint Action Committee (JAC) alleging that the paper was leaked on social media ahead of the exams.
It claimed that out of 200 questions leaked online, 184 questions were identical to those of the official exam held on September 22 for more than 38,000 candidates across Sindh, Pakistan.
