ATTOCK: A gunman attacked a school van, resulting in the deaths of two children and injuring five others in the Dheri Kot area of Attock. The culprit opened fire targeting the school van while the children were headed to school.
The injured children’s ages range from four to twelve years old including two 8-year-old girls, a 7-year-old, a 12-year-old, and a 4-year-old who have been taken to a hospital for treatment. Whereas the dead children are identified to be a 9-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl.
The government of Pakistan also condemned the sad incident and expressed their sorrow and grief on the deaths of innocent children. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has requested a report from Rawalpindi Commissioner Abdul Aamer Khattak.

President Asif Ali Zardari has condemned the cruel attack on children, describing it as a reprehensible and shameful act. He has called for strict measures against those responsible.

In addition, Punjab Governor Saleem Haider Khan also condemned the attack, expressing deep grief over the deaths of the young victims. He described the incident as “heartbreaking” and has demanded an immediate investigation to bring the culprits to justice.
