ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir referring to the country’s youth expressed satisfaction that the future of Pakistan is in ‘safe hands’, adding that youth is Pakistan’s most valuable asset.
While addressing the National Youth Convention in Islamabad, COAS emphasized the importance of youth for national progress. “Youth would not be allowed to go to waste under any circumstances, he added.
Addressing concerns about the country’s economic situation, the Army Chief said, Those who were creating the narrative of Pakistan’s default, where are they today? He urged the youth to remain vigilant and optimistic, adding that being despair is forbidden in Islam.
The Chief of Army Staff told the youth that life is a test, and read the Qur’anic verse “Do people think that they will be left alone for saying, ‘We believe’, and that they will not be tested.” ?”
During his address, the army chief said that only a strong relationship between the people, the government, and the army guaranteed the country’s security and development.
The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa always stood firm with security forces in the fight against terrorism from the region, he said while comparing them to an iron wall standing alongside the army for the past 22 years.
While highlighting the importance of freedom, Gen Asim Munir said youth to ask the people of Libya, Syria, Kashmir, and Gaza about the importance of an independent state.
