GUJRANWALA: A tragic incident in Gujranwala has resulted in one brother killing the other over a dispute regarding an electricity bill.
The two brothers, who lived with their elderly mother, argued over a bill exceeding Rs 30,000. The dispute escalated into violence when one brother fatally stabbed the other with a knife.After the incident, the perpetrator managed to flee the scene.

On receiving information about the incident, police promptly arrived at the scene and shifted the body to hospital for legal formalities.
The elderly mother, in an interview, expressed shock at the violence, noting that she had never witnessed such conflict between her sons before. She described the bill as a “death warrant” for the family.

She recounted that the argument started when one brother demanded payment, while the other requested an extension. Despite her pleas for them to stop, the confrontation turned deadly.
During the altercation, one brother declared, “I won’t let him stay if he doesn’t pay the bill,” while tossing belongings out of the house. The mother added that a knife was among the items thrown. “It wasn’t a premeditated attack. Suddenly, one son stabbed the other, and I couldn’t grasp how it happened,” she explained.
She lamented, “I had only two sons; now one is dead and the other is imprisoned. My home is now empty.”
