PESHAWAR: Chief Minister (CM) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur sent a defamation notice of one billion rupees to Governor Faisal Karim Kundi on false allegations, here on Saturday.
As per details, CM KP sent the notice through his lawyer, demanding Rs 500 million for damage to his reputation and Rs 500 million for mental anguish.
In the notice, the lawyer said that his client is accused of signing Operation Azm-e-Istehkam while the Chief Minister did not sign in the meeting of the Apex Committee.
He said that the Chief Minister will present the matter before the Assembly and the Cabinet before taking any decision.

It has been said in the notice that baseless allegations have been made against Chief Minister Gandapur.
It should be remembered that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had announced that it will not support Operation Azm-e-Istehkam until its details and procedures are clarified.
