LAHORE: Imran Riaz Khan, a well-known journalist and YouTuber was detained in Lahore, where he was en route to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj.
As per the initial reports, Imran Riaz Khan was arrested while he was heading to the Lahore airport for his flight to Saudi Arabia, where he intended to participate in the annual Islamic pilgrimage.
His lawyer, Mian Azhar Siddique, confirmed the arrest, stating that Khan was in the state of Ihram and was accompanied by his legal counsel Mian Ali Ashfaq and other companions when he was taken into custody.

According to a previous court order, Imran was permitted to embark on the holy travel for Hajj. But he was held back before he could even board the flight. Imran Riaz Khan’s team put up a social media post on X condemning the arrest of the journalist. They said that he was arrested in a rude manner.
