“I went to the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) ‘just to see’ how things were, but didn’t join,” Ali Zaidi said.
In response to a question, he made it clear that if he had joined the IPP, he would have contested the general elections and assumed office. However, he confirmed that he is not affiliated with the IPP and has been expelled from the PTI, terminating his membership.
Highlighting the harsh conditions in Jacobabad Jail, Ali Zaidi recalled his experience, mentioning the absence of a roof, where temperatures reached 50 degrees Celsius, with only a pillow and a mat.
Additionally, he noted that initially, there were no bathrooms available.
Expressing his observation, the former federal minister said that the PTI founder seems to be on the path to becoming prime minister again, while he personally does not see himself returning to the ministerial post.
Responding to a question regarding his return to politics, he pondered whether he would rejoin the PTI or form his own political party, stressing that in his approach, I am not a politician or a leader except the founder of the PTI.
