Military leadership rejects allegations of interference in elections 2024. General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS), chaired the 263rd Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) held at GHQ, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to peace, stability, and justice.
The forum commenced by paying heartfelt tributes to the brave Shuhadas, including officers, soldiers, and citizens who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s peace and security. Resolving to combat terrorism and its supporters relentlessly, the COAS directed commanders to maintain the momentum of efforts against terrorism and militancy, ensuring the consolidation of hard-earned gains.
Expressing deep concerns over the continued oppression of Kashmiris in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the forum vehemently condemned India’s unabated human rights violations in the region. Pakistan reiterated its unwavering support for the Kashmiri people on political, diplomatic, and moral fronts.
Furthermore, the forum stood in solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine, denouncing the grave human rights violations and war crimes in Gaza. COAS emphasized Pakistan’s steadfast support for the Palestinian cause, affirming the nation’s diplomatic and moral backing for their quest for a just resolution.
Recognizing the efforts of civil administration, law enforcement agencies, and security forces during the General Elections, despite significant challenges, the forum appreciated their commitment to ensuring a safe and secure electoral process.
However, the forum expressed dismay over certain vested elements within the political and media landscape, particularly on social media, for baselessly maligning the Armed Forces of Pakistan with unsubstantiated allegations of interference. Emphasizing the importance of focusing on real issues such as good governance and economic recovery, the forum urged adherence to due legal processes and evidence-based discourse.

In a positive note, the forum acknowledged the smooth democratic transition of power in the Centre and Provinces, expressing hope for political and economic stability post-elections. Furthermore, the forum reiterated its full support to the government in combating security threats and promoting socioeconomic growth, including efforts to curb illegal activities and ensure the respectful and safe repatriation of all illegal foreigners.
In alignment with the resolve of the honorable Prime Minister of Pakistan, the forum pledged to ensure that those responsible for desecrating Shuhada Monuments and attacking military installations on 9th May are brought to justice under the relevant provisions of the law and Constitution.
