During a recent high-level meeting, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz issued directives to address key issues affecting the province. While there were initial reports of the suspension of 800,000 arms licenses, the spokesperson of the Punjab government clarified that no such orders were issued by the Chief Minister. The spokesperson affirmed that arms licenses are not being suspended in Punjab, putting an end to speculation surrounding the matter.
Undeterred by the confusion, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif proceeded to announce a comprehensive project aimed at repairing streets throughout the province. This initiative is expected to significantly improve transportation infrastructure and enhance the quality of life for residents across Punjab.
Furthermore, during a meeting with Punjab Assembly Members from District Sheikhupura and Nankana, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz emphasized the importance of addressing basic needs in rural areas. She sought a detailed plan for the supply of clean drinking water and sewage systems in villages, demonstrating her commitment to improving living standards in rural communities.
Additionally, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz instructed Punjab Assembly Members to submit written demands for various development projects and urged for urgent plans to repair minor roads and streets in both cities and villages. Her vision is to transform each constituency into a model constituency through comprehensive development projects.
