Notifications Issued for 43 Independent Candidates, Including PTI’s Prominent Figures.
ECP Releases Notification of Successful KP National Assembly Candidates. The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has released notifications for the successful candidates in 45 National Assembly constituencies from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
Out of these, notifications for 43 independent candidates have also been issued, including prominent figures supported by various political parties such as Asad Qaiser, Omar Ayub, Shahriar Afridi, and Sher Afsar Marwat from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
The notifications for the success of candidates have been issued for NA-4 Upper Dir, NA-10 Buner, NA-18 Haripur, NA-19 Swabi, NA-30 Peshawar, NA-35 Kohat, and NA-41 Lakki Marwat.
Similarly, notifications for successful candidates from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa belonging to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), and Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) have also been issued.
According to the Election Commission, independent candidates have the option to join any political party within three days of their victory.

This development marks a significant step in the democratic process, ensuring representation from various political factions in the National Assembly from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and reflecting the diversity of political voices in the region.
Omar Ayub accuses caretaker Punjab chief minister of polls rigging planning
Omar Ayub, a senior leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has accused the Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab of planning election rigging.
In a statment, he urged the authorities to set up an inquiry commission to probe the allegations levelled by the Rawalpindi commissioner. He has demande the release of Form-47, a document related to election results.
He criticised the inquiry committee set up by Mohsin Naqvi, stating that it was biased.
Ayub nominated for the office of prime minister by the PTI, emphasized the need for a fair investigation against those accused by the commissioner. He insisted that the accused individuals must present their stance in the inquiry.
Commissioner Liaquat Ali Chattha resigned a day ago, claiming that the elections held on February 8 in Rawalpindi sivision were manipulated and rigged.
Ayub highlighted the significant influence that commissioners possess in potentially altering results according to their preferences.
He alleged that the mandate of PTI-backed candidates was stolen through.
The PTI leader asserted that the party would form government.
