The Israeli military spokesperson stated that efforts were underway to establish a “buffer zone” by demolishing these locations so that Jewish settlers could safely return to their homes.
The spokesperson revealed that Hamas targeted an Israeli tank assigned to protect the forces during the operation. Subsequently, a terrifying explosion took place in two buildings, causing them to collapse, trapping more than two dozen soldiers.
It’s important to note that Israeli forces entered Gaza on October 27, and ground operations against Hamas have been ongoing. The casualties among Israeli soldiers have now risen to 21, as opposed to the earlier confirmation of 10 fatalities in the initial stages of the operation.
