Mushaal urges global action against human rights violations in IIOJK. The 2nd consultative meeting of the Kashmir Advisory Committee, chaired by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) for Human Rights and Women Empowerment Mushaal Hussein Mullick has witnessed comprehensive discussions on advancing the Kashmir cause and addressing human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

Members of the committee were briefed on the progress made regarding the recommendations from the previous meeting. The session, attended by key figures including Ms. Sabien Hussein Mullick, Dr. Rahim Awan, Prof. Zafar Sindhu, Fasial Bari, and others, emphasized the need for sustained efforts to bring attention to the plight of Kashmiris.

SAPM Mushaal Hussein Mullick highlighted the importance of strategic actions and continuous endeavors to shed light on human rights violations by India in IIOJK. She stressed the empowerment of Kashmiri people and called for effective measures to counteract demographic changes imposed by India, which pose a serious threat to the plebiscite prospect outlined in UN resolutions.

During her address, she shared insights into the recent successful meeting with Vice Chancellors from over 250 universities, emphasizing the role of youth in impactful research and advocacy for the Kashmir cause. The establishment of Kashmir cells in universities, as per committee recommendations, and interactive sessions within campuses were also discussed.

Mushaal presented ongoing initiatives to engage the Kashmiri Diaspora and collaborate with foreign universities to expose the realities of Indian atrocities. She expressed commitment to organizing debates in prestigious international universities to garner support for the Kashmiri people.

Underlining the government’s commitment to empowering minorities, especially in AJK, she disclosed the near completion of two churches in AJK. She raised concerns about challenges faced by minorities in India and IIOJK, highlighting the threat posed by the RSS ideology.
