Irfan Nawaz Memon is an officer of Pakistan Administrative Services.
Irfan Nawaz Memon is a Pakistani bureaucrat who is currently serving as Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad. He is administrative in charge of the Islamabad Capital Territory and looks after all the administrative and municipal departments in the city. He is also the district magistrate for Islamabad. He took over the charge of Deputy Commissioner Islamabad on 18 April 2022. He belongs to the 35th Common of Pakistan Administrative Services as part of the Civil Service of Pakistan.
Officially, the Deputy Commissioner, ICT executes diverse administrative and executive functions in accordance with various Federal and Provincial laws in Islamabad Capital Territory. Deputy Commissioner, ICT is also the District Magistrate under Cr.P.C. overseeing law and order and security of the district. Deputy Commissioner authorizes and regulates various activities and functions.
Irfan Nawaz Memon is a career officer who has earlier worked as the deputy commissioner of Quetta. He also served as the director general Information Technology in Balochistan, Punjab Food Authority, chief executive officer Punjab Health Facilities Management Company, Additional Director Civil Services Academy Lahore, DC Toba Tek Sing, additional collector/additional DC Lahore, and deputy secretary and Personal Staff Officer to the Chief Minister Punjab.
