Shahzad Akbar injured in alleged acid attack in London. Special Assistant to former premier Imran Khan, Mirza Shahzad Akbar was allegedly attacked with acid by unidentified assailants at his residence in England, where he currently resides in self-exile.

Taking to social media, Akbar revealed the harrowing experience, stating that the attack occurred on Sunday evening at his recently disclosed residence in a small village outside London.

The former accountability chief, who shifted to the UK approximately 1.5 months ago, mentioned that the attackers were able to locate his new address.

Narrating the incident, Akbar explained that a delivery person wearing a helmet arrived at his door, claiming to have a package.

However, upon opening the door, he was met with an acid attack from the assailant, resulting in injuries to one side of his face and body.

Despite the traumatic incident, Akbar expressed gratitude that his wife and children remained unharmed. Emergency services and law enforcement officials responded promptly to the scene, and Akbar was rushed to the hospital, where he received medical attention for approximately 10 to 11 hours.

The area surrounding Akbar’s residence has been cordoned off, and he is actively cooperating with the police in their investigation.
