As per the media reports, there has been a surprising increase in the prices of packed milk, after which the prices of chicken have also increased.
Sources at Bolton Market say that the price of chicken has increased by Rs 37 per kg in a single day, bringing the new price to Rs 421 per kg.
Poultry traders and dealers are predicting a further rise in prices in the coming days, due to the new taxes introduced by the government in the latest budget.
