LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has sent the proposed schedule for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 to the International Cricket Council (ICC) for final approval.
As per the submitted schedule, the tournament will run from February 19 to March 9, with matches taking place in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi. The Indian team is set to play all its matches at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, which will host a total of seven games, including the final.
Preparations for the tournament are gaining momentum. The National Stadium in Karachi is slated to host the opening match and one semi-final, totaling three matches. Rawalpindi will host five matches, including the other semi-final, bringing the tournament’s total to 15 matches.
Upgrades are planned for several venues. Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium will see the construction of modern corporate boxes and increased spectator capacity in certain enclosures. New digital screens will be installed across Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi stadiums. Karachi’s National Stadium will undergo improvements, including the construction of a new media center and scoreboard at the University End.
