ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan has said that this imported govt has increased inflation many folds in just three months which the PTI could not have done in its regime of three years.
He added that the PTI govt had proved its good performance in every field and sustained its economy.
He made these remarks while addressing a Labourers’ convention at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House in Islamabad on Tuesday.
The former prime minister said that when the world was trying to control the Covid-19 virus by closing down their cities and countries and at the same time, the whole opposition in Pakistan was pressurising the PTI government to lockdown the country as the international community was doing.
But the PTI government had not shut down the country and saved its people, economy, industry and the livelihood of the poor, resultantly came out of this pandemic, which was proved the worst in the history of the world, he maintained.
The former prime minister observed that Pakistan was among five countries, which had successfully tackled the epidemic situation and protected their nations and countries.

He recalled that India Premier Modi had closed down his country, badly hitting the country’s economy and creating joblessness. On the other hand, the PTI-led government kept its industries and businesses open and saved its poor segment.
China had also locked down its cities but she provided food to her people at their homes. But Pakistan is a poor country, which was not able to cater free meals to its millions of people, he said.
However, the PTI regime had provided Rs12000 to 15 million households to give relief to its poor masses, he added.
Imran asserted that the PTI proved its performance and saved its people, industry and economy.
He said that the PTI government had established shelter houses for the destitute and poor labourers, who came from small cities and villages to metropolises to earn their and bread and butter.
They were provided with free accommodation and food so that they could send full wages to their homes.

He said that they had given health cards to the people in Punjab, KP, GB and Kashmir so that they could have also received good treatment in good private hospitals and even had their heart surgery done.
The former prime minister said that his government had launched Kamiyab Pakistan and Kamiyab Naujawan programmes to enable them to stand on their feet economically.
He urged the labourers to join the long march and when he call it not for Imran Khan but for the country and their children’s future.
